In these days, Asian are influenced with black music.
Rap music are popular in almost all countries. R&B is also.
Every big cities in Japan, supposed you go to Station in night,
you see B-boying people.
their fashion is black musician style, this is a matter of course.
but this tendency is seen in every Asian countries.
Japanese and Korean pops are very famous in East and South-East Asia.
Korean musicians are trained long time in their firm,
that is why they can dance well and sing by Japanese.
Chinese and Taiwanese musics are little different from others.
I think Chinese language are good for rap , but they don’t influenced by
Black musics comparing with other countries.
By the way, South-East Asian are more like American music directory.
East Asian are more like local musicians.
For example, Michael Jackson or Beatles are known by every Asian countries.
but you say about Nickelback or Shakira to East Asian, it’s limited.
Sports
Soccer is popular in S.Korea, Japan, Vietnam and N.korea.(ordered by popularity)
Baseball is popular in Japan, Taiwan and S.Korea.
Philippines like Basketball and Boxing.
Withoug saying that, they have Pacquiao!
There are Pacquiao gims in many places in Philippines.
China is Ping Pong and Kung Fu country !
(Except for Tall NBA player Yao Ming popularity.)
I don’t know why, I’m suppose they don’t have interest with other sports.
Because I barely see sports in TV about my 2 weeks staying in China.
India and Sri Lanka like Cricket. Kabaddhi is famous , but not so popular.
